Sujeet Desai and Carrie Bergeron
are two young adults living with
DS. He is a musician, and she
works as a teachers aid. Their
love story was so remarkable, it
prompted ABC's 20/20 to cover
their wedding on the program
.
Lisa Smith dreamed of singing with
the church choir, but wasn't
confident about how her voice would
fit in. Lisa learned American Sign
Language so that she could do sign
interpretation of the songs for the
hearing impaired. Lisa has toured
with Christian recording artist Sandi
Patti, and performed with the singer
on the Dr. Phil show in 2006.
Michael Jurogue Johnson is an artist,
illustrator, and self- advocate. In
addition to selling his vivid paintings
on-line, he also does commissioned
pieces, notecards, and has illustrated
two children's books. Michael's work
has been featured in several
magazines.
